First Birthday Cake with Ruffles
A client asked me to remake a cake that she had found on the Internet for her daughters 1st birthday and christening party.
Sadly I cannot credit the original designer.
The cake was a two tier, the bottom tier was made of pale pink ruffles, which give a fabulous look but are time consuming. The top tier was decorated with pale pink and gold dots and a gold painted number one! The gold paint we used was Faye Cahill Shimmer Gold available from Cake Stuff, this is 100% edible and for me is definitely the best edible gold on the market at the moment.
The cake was collected and driven to London for the party. It was accompanied by pink and white buttercream cupcakes. The client provided her own topper.
