Beautiful rustic wedding wedding cake with a hint of Star Wars.

  Kent Life is one of the most unusual venues that I have had the pleasure to deliver wedding cakes too. I love it there. It’s a farm museum, with vintage buildings and tractors. There are so many photo opportunities and your guests will have a fabulous time. Sarah and Mark chose to get married at Kent Life with a reception in The Wagon Store. For their cake, Sarah and Mark chose a log tier for the bottom on the cake with their initials carved in a heart at the front. The second and third tier was a double height cake decorated as an old-fashioned chalk board with a personalised message painted on to it. The top tier was plain iced and finished with hessian and lace. Two sprays of sugar flowers were made to match the wedding flowers and placed on the side of the cake. These included Delphiniums, scabious, lavender, ivory and yellow roses foliage.   The cake was finished with a cake topper supplied by the happy couple with a nod to a Star Wars quote. Tiffany and Dan's Rustic Wedding at Odo's Barn

  When I met Tiffany and Dan, they knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding cake, 4 tier cake with two tiers decorated as logs and two tiers in normal ivory icing.   We discussed various ideas and options but came up with the idea of the bottom tier being a log with a heart carved into the front with the couples initials and an arrow through the carved heart, the second and top tier iced in ivory icing and left plain but edged in natural hessian. The 3 rd tier was another log with a heart carved in it this time with the wedding date carved in it.   The cake was topped with a large spray of ivory sugar flowers which matched the wedding flowers including Freesia, David Austin Roses, Lisianthus, Brunia Balls, blossoms and ivory roses.   The wedding was held at Odo’s Barn in Bilsington near Ashford. It was my first visit to Odo’s Barn, and I must admit it was quite difficult to find, but oh my goodness was it worth it. The venue was absolutely stunnin...
