Shannon and Aaron's Barley Twist Wedding Cake at Cooling Castle Barn

    Shannon and Aaron were married at the beautiful Cooling Castle Barn in the spring of 2017.   They chose a 4-tier square wedding with the tiers off set to each other (I call this a Barley Twist), one of our popular designs. Shannon and Aaron had chosen pink as their wedding colour and wanted pink incorporated into the design, so we used pale pink ribbon around the edge of each tier which was also completed with a single row of diamante around each tier.   The second and top tier were in additionally decorated with a continuous piping technique known as Cornelli work. It’s a very pretty technique that it also quite subtle but adds an additional texture / feature to the cake.   The cake was faced points forward and a cascade or pale pink and white sugar roses were added to the top pf the cake and across the front of the cake, covering the point of each tier as they twisted round the cake. Nikki and Richard's Pretty Wedding Cake with Personalised Cake Topper

Nikki and Richard were married in 2017 at The Village Hotel, Maidstone.   Nikki chose a very pretty 3 tier wedding cake decorated with Cake Lace, pink and blue ribbon to match their theme and bridesmaids and finished with diamante to add a bit of glitz.   Nikki borrowed our pink pedestal cake stand which not only gave the cake extra height but matched their pink colour perfectly adding that extra bit of detail to their cake table.   The couple were very keen to have a personalised wedding cake topper that they could keep after the wedding. I made the topper using Renshaw Modelling paste so it would set hard and they would be able to keep it.   Richard is a fireman and wanted to be in his Fire Uniform, and Nikki in her wedding dress.
