Vicky and Matt's floral Wedding Cake at The BarnYard

  Vicky and Matt were married in 2017 at The BarnYard in Upchurch. I met them at the wedding fair held at the venue previously.   Vicky had seen a picture of a cake she liked that she wanted reproduced for her wedding. However, after the consultation we decided to make a few changes to personalise the cake just for them.   Vicky and Matt were having pale blue and pink as the colours for their wedding and so we were able to incorporate both of these into the cake design and they also chose a lovely tall 5 tier cake.   The cake itself consisted of three tiers of pale blue icing on the 1 st ,3 rd and 5 th tier and the 2 nd and 4 th tier was made up of ivory tiers.   The top and sides of the top of the blue tiers and the bottom of the ivory tiers were decorated in individual small flowers made from icing, each with pale pink centres.   The other tiers of the cake were edged in a narrow hessian ribbon with a hessian bow at the front of the 3...

Tiffany and Dan's Rustic Wedding at Odo's Barn

  When I met Tiffany and Dan, they knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding cake, 4 tier cake with two tiers decorated as logs and two tiers in normal ivory icing.   We discussed various ideas and options but came up with the idea of the bottom tier being a log with a heart carved into the front with the couples initials and an arrow through the carved heart, the second and top tier iced in ivory icing and left plain but edged in natural hessian. The 3 rd tier was another log with a heart carved in it this time with the wedding date carved in it.   The cake was topped with a large spray of ivory sugar flowers which matched the wedding flowers including Freesia, David Austin Roses, Lisianthus, Brunia Balls, blossoms and ivory roses.   The wedding was held at Odo’s Barn in Bilsington near Ashford.
