Eliza and James Wedding - November 2018 - Salomons Estate

Eliza and James' winter wedding was held at Salomon's Estate in November 2018.

I met Eliza and James at The Wedding Experience, Detling in April 2018. They had no initial ideas what they wanted for their wedding cake, so when they came to visit me to discuss ideas and taste the cakes, they spent a long time flicking through my cake albums.

Eliza came across a 3 tiered square cake that I had made several times with slight variations and fell in love with it there and then. We modified the cake to fit their theme and their colours, it also contained a Gluten Free top tier for the groom.

The cake was iced in white icing, each tier edged in white edible pearls. Two tiers, the top and bottom were decorated in Cake Lace and the cake was finished with a cascade of burgundy, pink and white sugar work roses and sprigs of fresh gypsophilia.

The cake was set up in the theatre at Salmons Estate in Tunbridge Wells, my first visit there. The cake stand was supplied by the venue.

  This is a beautiful cake there is no doubt about it, but whilst it is stunning there is also some sadness behind it.   The cake was designed with a bride and groom for their wedding. It was to be in pink and white with edible cake lace pieces, vintage roses, and hydrangea sprays over 5 gorgeous tiers. Sadly, the couple decided not to get married and to go their separate ways. Purple and lilac heart wedding cake at The Hop Farm Wedding Venue

  This beautiful wedding cake was made for Claire and Mark who were married at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood in the summer of 2017.   Claire and Mark chose a 3-tier heart shaped wedding cake iced in white icing. Their wedding had a purple and lilac theme, and they wanted their cake to reflect this.   Each tier of the cake was decorated in two tone ribbon in purple and lilac around the edge of each tier. The lilac and purple themed was reflected in the cascade of purple, lilac and white roses that cascaded across the front of the cake diagonally and on the top of the cake.   The cake was finished with lilac, white and purple hearts on wires standing proud of the cake.   The overall cake looked amazing especially when it was set up at the Hop Farm in front of the Oast Fireplace. A very elegant wedding cake at Cooling Castle Barn

  Tiffany and Phil chose a very elegant wedding cake for their wedding at Cooling Castle Barn in the spring of 2017 .   Sadly, I never actually got to meet the happy couple in person, but they were very happy with their wedding cake and great to work with.   They chose a classic 4 tier wedding cake design decorated in a deep navy-blue ribbon on all 4 tiers and around the cake board.   The top and 2 nd tier were decorated with piping detail of a piped swags and drop pearls.   The 3 rd tier was finished with a flat bow and a lovely silver brooch which was a real focal point for the design.   Tiffany and Phil provided their own bespoke wedding cake topper with completed the cake design perfectly.   This cake is simplicity at its very best, totally elegant and beautiful in every way, looking stunning under the spotlight at Cooling Castle Barn.
